Baptized Jun 30, 1729, Montbeliard, Etoben, France. Occupation: eaver/Farmer. Jean Died age 55, buried: Mar 14, 1784, St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. In May 1752 Jean was recruited o Nova Scotia on the vessel 'Betty'. He landed on George's Island, Halifax Harbour in September 1752. He was also on Indian Patrol in 1758.
His sons John James Boutilier and George Frederick Boutilier were hung for the murder of their godfather in May 1791.
