Hessian professional soldier. Travelled with the army then moved to London in 1817 where remained until 1833 when they emigrated to Sydney where George was employed with the Commissariat Stores
-as office keeper ie involved in organising supplies.
Was apparantly stationed on Jersey for some years and there met his wife
Buried 6th July 1836 at the Scots Burial Ground, Scots Presby Church County of Cumberland,NSW
aged 52.
