Richard Lee was a justice,1714 and a clerk, 1716-1735 for Northumberland Co., VA. He inherited the 1000-acre HANCOCKS NECK and changed its name to DITCHLEY, 1716. Richard surveyed the DIVIDING CREEK PLANTATION and delineated COBBS HALL as north and DITCHLEY as south, 1716. Richard resided at DITCHLEY. B. Waddy, Col. P. Smith, Capt. R. Jones and T. Winters were appointed to settle the estate of Richard Lee, 11 Aug 1740.
