Born in Wolferlow, near Bromyard. In 1861 Census (RG9/2215 f56p28) he
gives his year of birth as 1833 not 1836 and his place of birth Yardley
Worcestershire. In 1861 he was a labourer living with his in-laws at
Sare Hole, Yardley.
In 1881 Census (RG11/3084 f75p56) he was living in Bard St. Yardley with his wife Emma and mother in law Mary Hemming. His age is given as 45 (ie born about 1836) and place of birth Stoke Bliss, Hertford (this presumably should be 'Hereford').
His occupation was 'Gardener'.
He died at 65 Shakespeare St., Hall Green, B'ham.
