John is listed as age 8 on the 1870 autauga Co., Al. Census.

John and Blanche were married by Rev. H.H. McNeal; witness: Rev. A.S. Briggs.
He was onr of the first graduates of the University of Alabama. This family moved to Wetumpka, Alabama from Speed, Coosa County, Alabama Law School in 1903. He walked from Prattville, Alabama to Montgomery to take the Alabama Bar Examination. He was a member of the Alabama House for four years.

John died of acqute heart attack-coronary at 5:30 P.M.
