Jacob Washington was the son of Captain Jacob and Hannah (Spiers) White. He Was born March 5, 1792. He married Matilda Buford on December 17, 1812. Both families were wealthy and respected in the community. Jacob White, whether father or son is unsure, is mentioned in many court documents. Jacob White was listed on a will of John Hawkins,
( administrator William Hawkins) as one of the appraisers. William is a possible candidate for the father of my other X-grandfather, Fountain. Jacob died at age 37, on May 20, 1829.
