Santino's uncle was Contardo Ferrini. Contardo was only 7 years older than Santino. Contardo's father was Rinaldo Ferrini. His mother was Luigia Buccellati. She was the 18th child of 24 children. Rinaldo and Luigia were married on April 4, 1858. Contardo was born April 4, 1859. He died
October 5, 1902. Contardo was named after his mother's brother, Contardo Buccelati. Contardo Ferrini was beatified in the Catholic church. He may someday become a saint. There was a book written about Contardo Ferrini by Bede Jarrett, O.P.
