This Martha Spiers was baptized at Thornborough, England on August 6, 1837. She emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1844. She was listed as residing in her parents household in both the 1861 and 1871 Canadian Census records. In the 1871 Census she was 33 years of age and unmarried. She does not appear in the 1881 Census and since no further record of her has been found in the Ontario Archives it is assumed that she died sometime in the previous ten years.
