OBITUARY

The Huntsville Forester
Friday, April 9, 1909

Mrs. Elizabeth Bray, widow of the late Edward Bray of the Township of Brunel. passed away on Saturday morning, April 3rd at the home of her son, William Bray, in the 92nd year of her age.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon. Interment followed in Madill's Cemetery. The service was in charge of Rev. Annis of Emsdale, Rev. Watch being unavoidably detained in Toronto.
Elizabeth Bray, with her husband and family of four sturdy boys, settled in the town of Cobourg in the year 1858, and in 1870 came with their family to Muskoka, settling in the township of Brunel, where they lived until the day of their death. Mrs. Bray was truly a mother in Israel. When younger in years, she was always found where help was needed, and was always ready with an expression of Christian sympathy for the suffering. She has left, by example and precept, a name to be honoured for all time.
