DEATH OF MRS. THOMAS SPIERS
Much regret is felt throughout Stisted Township because of the sudden death of Mrs. Thomas Spiers, which occurred on Friday last at the residence of Mr. Thomas Clark of Aspdin, where the family were boarding. Deceased was seized with a paralytic stroke on the Monday previous and did not again gain consciousness. Mrs. Spiers was 49 years of age and has been a resident of the Township for about 30 years. She was the daughter of the late William Mawhinney. Besides her husband, she leaves a family of 4 children, Otto and Nelson, both young men, and two little girls, Myrtle and Mildred, who have gone to stop with their sister, Mrs. Baker, Orillia.
The funeral took place Sunday afternoon,and was largely attended. The pallbearers were: George and Joseph Spiers, Robert Scott, Alex Green, Chas. Lewis and George Wallington. Interment took place in Madill's Cemetery.
