Wiggins, Mississippi. Woodlawn Cemetery Section "B" City of Wiggins. This Cemetery was originally established on land owned by James Madison Hatten one of the founding fathers of the City of Wiggins. The original cemetery is located on the north side of Parkway Drive (Hwy 29). There has been a number of expansion and today the cemetery is quite large with over two thousand graves. I have divided the cemetery into three sections, 'A'-north of Parkway Drive, 'B'-south of Parkway Drive and 'C'-corner of Fifth Street and Bond Avenue.

The story goes that Inez met Brunson, he carried her off to Texas, with guns ablazing, and sent the message back to the family that to come to Texas to get her was to die. Very romantic. He died of the Spanish Flu around 30 years old, Grandmother Bean remarried but I don't know to whom. She always said it was the only way she could get her kids back. Things got really bad for the family after Brunson died, the children except for the youngest Lacester were put in foster homes. Anyway, if you want to see the family stuff or contact Ms. Anderson just let me know. She died in her nineties in the 70's
