Graves final rites said
Funeral services for Seth Eugene Graves, 53, were held Saturday at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home chapel.
He died Thursday at his residence in Magnolia.
Born Jan. 17, 1924, Graves was a native of Tylertown, son of Howard and Lizzie Lee Graves. He married the former Mary Jane Cooper, who survives him.
OTHER SURVIVORS include five sons, Albert Graves of Orlando, Fla., Seth Graves Jr. of Fort Leonardwood, Mo., Robert, Jessie and Bobby Graves of Magnolia; one daughter, Helen Graves of Magnolia; three brothers, Jessie G. Graves of Denham Springs, La., Ford Graves of Springfield, La.; Hezzie Graves of Ponchatoula, La.; five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Graves, William Graves, Randolph Graves, Robert Lewis, Ray Graves and Larry Lessard.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes in charge.
Genealogy Note: Per Lillie Marie Hill E-mail dated September 2, 2000, the son listed in the obituary as Albert Graves of Orlando, Fl., is actually Albert Winston Todora, son of Mary Jane Cooper and Nathan Todora. Subsequently a stepson of Seth Eugene Graves.
