Offie B. Simmons
Offie B. Simmons, well known local saw filer, passed away Sunday morning, August 9, at his residence here. He was 62 years of age.
Funeral services were held from Hartman's Funeral Home Chapel., with interment in the Rushing Cemetery Monday afternoon. The last rites were conducted by the Rev. Harry Jones, pastor of Silver Springs Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Arthur D. Rockett, pastor of Mesa Baptist Church, of which Mr. Simmons was a member.
Pallbearers were Recie Forbes, Claude Graves, O. B. Davis, Levi Simmons, Harlon Fleming and Millard Fleming.
Mr. Simmons was born May 26, 1891, in what is now Walthall County, the son of Hillary and Irene Morris Simmons. He lived his entire life in this county. He was married to the former Leo Lee, who survives him with three daughters; Mrs. Altus Boyd, of Homer, La.; Mrs. Elie Whiddon of Kokomo, Mrs. Wess Dillon of Tylertown; and five sons, Elmer Simmons, of Baton Rouge; T. J. Simmons of Baton Rouge; Jessie Simmons of Tylertown; and Wallace Simmons, of Bogalusa.
Also surviving are; one brother, Shell Simmons, of Tylertown; one sister, Mrs. Neal Moran, of Bogalusa; a half-brother, Claiborne Lee, of Hammond; a half-sister, Mrs. Frank Dillon, of Tylertown; and 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ora Nell Holiday, 86, were Sept. 3, 1998, from the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, Rev. Randall Griffin officiating.
Mrs. Holiday, a resident of Tylertown, died Sept. 1, 1998, at Forrest County General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
She was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Walthall County, daughter of the late Wyatt Alex and Julia Rushing Lee. She married O. C. Holiday who preceded her in death. She was a housewife.
Mrs. Holiday is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Olin and Wilda Holiday of Hattiesburg, and Ben Holiday of Tylertown; one daughter, Alyne Jackson of Tylertown; four grandchildren, Tracy Thomas of Clinton, Patricia Holiday of Atlanta, Ga., Brandi Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and Chess Jackson of Starkville.
Pallbearers were Chess Jackson, Jimmy Thomas, Chris Kanary, George Swan, Jerry Kelly and Percy Lee.
Burial was in the Rushing Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral home in charge.

Lee Funeral is held
Funeral services for Percy Bilbo Lee, 66, were held Monday at Capps Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Randy McHan and William M. Bowman officiating.
He died suddenly Feb. 7 of an apparent heart attack.
Lee was born Aug. 15, 1909, at Tylertown, son of Wyatt Alexander and Julia Rushing Lee. He married the former Emma Kennedy, who survives him.
OTHER SURVIVORS include one son, Percy W. Lee, Zachary, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Mae Hall, Tylertown, Mrs. Mary Lou Fortenberry, Tylertown, Mrs. Irma Jean Broom, Columbia; two brothers, Floyd and Cullen Lee, Tylertown; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Swan, Osyka, Mrs. Clarence Greer, Pascagoula, Mrs. O. C. Holliday, Tylertown; 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bennie Hugh Jarrell, Jimmy E. Johnson, Thomas Boyd, Jim Smith, James Lang, Lem Stinson.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Capps Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She died February 15, 1944.
