SMITH, ESSIE DUNAWAY
Died 5:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 1986, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 67, a native of Walthall County, Miss. and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000, Florida Blvd., after 8 a.m. until religious services at noon Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. T. W. Terral. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Louis A. Smith, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Georgia Smith Lewis, Baton Rouge; two sons, Charles W. Smith, Baton Rouge, and Bobby G. Smith, Greenwell Springs; three sisters, Bessie D. Smith, Columbia, Miss., Frances D. Fortinberry, Baton Rouge, and Juanita D. Herring, Baker; seven grandchildren, John Michael Lewis, Columbus, Ga., Keith W. Smith, Grand Forks, N. D., Dana L. Smith, Stephanie Shilling, and Elizabeth Hope Kennedy, all of Baton Rouge, Stacie Smith and Bobbye Smith, both of Greenwell Springs; and a great-granddaughter, Kalyn Dawn Shilling. Pallbearers will be Keith W. Smith, Jody Schilling, Greg Kennedy, Gary Dunnaway, Greg Brumfield, and Alan Avants. She was a member of Lanier Baptist Church.
