Cecil E. Grubbs

Funeral services for Cecil E. Grubbs, 84, were Aug. 29, 1999, at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Lee and Rev. Bradley Rushing officiating.
He died Aug. 27, 1999, at his residence.
He was retired from Haspel, Inc., and a member of Union Baptist Church of 70 years.
Grubbs was born Aug. 6, 1915, at Tylertown, son of the late B. F. and Stella Harvey Grubbs. His wife of 61 years, Marie Morris Grubbs, survives him.
Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Waiford and Bonnie Grubbs; and a daughter, Janifer Grubbs Boyd, all of Tylertown; four grandchildren, Michael Grubbs, David Grubbs, Ryan Boyd and Tanya Rushing; and four great-grandchildren, Corey, Morgan and Shelby Grubbs and Donovan Grubbs.
Pallbearers were Michael Grubbs, David Grubbs, Ryan Boyd, Tony Rushing, Clifford Morris and Johnny Wayne Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Boyd, Homer Bennett, Glynn Grubbs, Travis Alford, Don McCallum, Henry Grubbs, C. E. Rushing, Larry Bracey, Edwin Bracey, W. H. McCallum and Charles Hobgood.
Burial was in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Capps Funeral Home in charge.
