HILL, LOLA MORRIS
A loving mother and grandmother, she died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday April 9, 2000. She was 86, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Tylertown, Miss. Visiting was at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Paul Jones, the Rev. Barry Wilkinson and the Rev. Mike Morris. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters, Judy Hill Dinecola and Joan Hill Guercio, both of Baton Rouge, and Sheryl Hill Hughes, Birmingham, Ala; two sisters, Nola Swan, Tylertown, and Nell Wingo, Laurel, Miss.; two brothers, Walter Morris, Tylertown, and Vernon Morris, Magnolia, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Brian and Blakeley White, Ashley Dinecola Snyder, Kimberly Dinecola, Keely Guercio Kirkland, Ryan, Amber and Russell Guercio; and five great-grandchildren, Donovan Guercio, Alexis and Connor Kirkland, Jordan and Cameron White; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Russell Clark Hill; parents, Eugene and Mary Jane Morris; and five brothers, Leslie, Jessie, Otis, Alton and Halbert Morris. Pallbearers will be Brian White, Ryan and Russell Guercio, Jake Dinecola, Scott Kirkland, Ben Snyder, Eric Ducote and Randall Cope. Honorary pallbearers are Donovan Guercio Kirkland and Connor Kirkland.

Alton Morris
Funeral services for Alton Monroe Morris, 70, were Wednesday at Mesa Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Corry officiating. He died Sept. 29 in the local hospital following a short illness.
Morris was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Old Pike County, son of Eugene and Mary Jane Lee Morris. He was a feed mill worker. He married Kathaleen Rushing, who survives him.
Other survivors include three sons, William Alton Morris, Foxworth, Johnny T. Morris, McComb, Donald Ray Morris, Tylertown; five daughters, Mrs Sherry McNeese, Mrs. Karen Espinoza, Belinda Morris and Teresa Morris, Tylertown, Mrs. Barbara Oxner, Foxworth; three brothers, Walter Morris, Tylertown, Vernon Morris and Halbert Morris, Magnolia; three sisters, Mrs. Nola Swan, Tylertown, Mrs. Lola Hill, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Nell Wingo, Laurel; 11 grandchildren.
PALLBEARERS were James Stinson, Walter Stinson, Charles Bowman, Al Bowman, James Morris, and Jerry Morris.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Hartmann-Hughes in charge of arrangements.

Morris final rites said
Funeral services for Otis Morris, 60, were held Sunday at Mesa Baptist church with Revs. Paul Jones and Randy McHan officiating.
He died May 25 at Walthall General Hospital. Morris was born Oct. 25, 1917, at Walthall County, son of Eugene and Janie Lee Morris. He married the former Ophelia Etheridge, who survives him.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE his mother, Mrs. Janie Morris; five sons, Otis Jr., North Dakota; Henry Eugene, Virginia Beach, Va.; Jerry Edward, Killeen, Texas.; James Walter, Tylertown; and Larry Joe Morris of Memphis; three daughters, Mrs. Geneva Mitchell, Baker, La.; Mrs. Mary Eva Polk, Pearl River, La.; and Elizabeth Ann Morris, Tylertown; three sisters, Nell Wingo, Laurel; Nolie Swan, Tylertown; Lola Hill, Baton Rouge; four brothers, Vernon, Magnolia; Walter, Alton and Halbert Morris all of Tylertown; and 15 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were military with military rites at the graveside.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Capps Funeral Home officiating.
