Oliver C. Holiday
Oliver Chester Holiday, 81, of Walthall County, died Jan. 9, 1992, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown, with the Rev. David Bailey and the Rev. Wayne Kimbrough officiating. Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery.
Mr. Holiday was born Dec. 7, 1910, in Mt. Herman, La. He was the son of the late Burley Holiday and Rosa Miller Holiday.
He was a plumber and contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Ora Nell Lee Holiday of Tylertown; two sons, Olin Holiday of Hattiesburg and Ben Holiday of Tylertown; one daughter, Alyne Jackson of Tylertown; one daughter-in-law, Wilda S. Holiday of Hattiesburg; one brother, Claibourne Holiday of Brooksville; one sister, Leona Hamilton of Bogalusa, La.; four grandchildren, Tracy Holiday of Clinton, Tricia Holiday of Hattiesburg, Brandi Jackson of Jackson and Chess Jackson of Tylertown.
Active pallbearers were Jerry Kelly, Charles Piggott, Leroy Baughtman, Albert Lang, Rex Piggott and Glyn Geiger. Honorary pallbearers were Webb Thornhill, J. B. Wilson, Nat Stogner, Clinton Rushing, Jerome Johnson, Maxy Hill, Leslie Lenoir Jr., and Gene Lenoir.

Ben Holiday, 65, of Tylertown, died March 1, 2002, at Walthall County General Hospital.
Services are 2 p.m. today at the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Randall Griffin will officiate with Maxey Hill assisting. Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery.
Mr. Holiday was born May 21, 1936, in Walthall County, the son of the late Oliver Chestor and Ora Nell Lee Holiday.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a propane gas inspector.
Mr. Holiday was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Olin and Wilda Holiday of Hattiesburg; one sister, Alyne Jackson of Tylertown; three nieces, Brandi Jackson, Tracy Thomas and Tricia Holiday; and one nephew, Chess Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Chess Jackson, Chris Kanary, Jimmy Thomas, George Swan, Rex Holmes and Charles Pigott.
