Burton T. Johnson
Burton Thomas Johnson, 49, of Summit died Thursday in Southwest Mississippi Regional Center from injuries received in a farm accident in the Holmesville community. Visitation is underway until 10 tonight in Hartman Funeral Home of McComb and will continue there at 8 a.m. Saturday until services at 10 a.m. in Hartman chapel. Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown.
Born June 15, 1938, in Pike County, Mr. Johnson was the son of Jessie Bennie Johnson and Edna Powell Johnson. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Breeden Johnson of Summit; and two brothers, Carson Johnson of Summit and Winston Johnson of McComb.

Carson Johnson
John Carson Johnson, 69, of McComb, died June 20, 2000, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation is 4-9 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, and 8 a.m. Thursday until services there at 10 a.m. The Revs. John Reid and John Hemphill will officiate. Burial will be in East Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia.
Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Tylertown. He was the son of Jessie Bennie Johnson and Edna Powell Johnson.
He was retired from Magruder Oil, where he worked 47 years. He was a member of East Union Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 382 of McComb, F&AM.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Burton Thomas Johnson, Buck Johnson and Edward Earl Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Johnson of McComb; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Patsy Johnson of Summit, and Mike and Vicky Johnson and Mike and Pam Berry, all of McComb; two daughters and one son-in-law, Edna and Johnny White and Gale Berry, all of McComb; one brother, Winston Johnson of McComb; nine grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Kay Hewitt, John White, Michael Johnson, Ricky Johnston, Brent Johnston, Angela Nichols, Magan Berry and William Walker; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Brock, Joey Quin, Don Geddie, Reid Netterville, Brent Johnston, Ricky Johnston, Snuffy Smith and Lewis Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Elwin Hewitt, Gary Boyd, Mike Lewis and Fremonce McKinley.
