Timothy D. Owens
Timothy Dowayne Owens, 45, of Progress, died June 2, 2002, in an automobile accident on Highway 98 West in Amite County.
Visitation is 5-9 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, and 8 a.m. Wednesday until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Paul Cain will officiate. Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery in Amite County.
Mr. Owens was born April 24, 1957, in Tylertown. He was the son of Kathleen Lee Dillon of Lexie and the late Leon Hill.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Lexie Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Keith Hill; and his grandfather, Ollie Lee.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Frances Etheridge Owens of Progress; maternal grandmother, Edith Lee of Tylertown; one son, Christopher "Wayne" Owens of Progress; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brandi Rene Owens of Progress, Kerri Marie and Mike Domanick, and Christina Ruth Owens and Jason Armstrong, all of McComb, and Danielle Temple Sharp and "Cam" Sharp of East Fork; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry and Kathy Hill, and Greg and Jennifer Hill, all of Lexie; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawanna K. and Darrell Jordan of Magnolia, Judy and Troy Thomas of Sandy Hook and Lillie and Albert Todora of Lexie; and two grandchildren, Alexis and Payton Domanick.
Pallbearers will be Jason Armstrong, Mike Domanick, Derek Craft, Nolan Rayborn, Wayne Meyers and Joel Lee.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Timothy Owens family or to Hartman Funeral Home of McComb.
