Oscar Defore O. D. Adamson was named after his mothers brother Oscar Chapman and was supposed to be named for his father but the Defoor was entered wronge at birth , as Defore. He used a '' Junior '' with his name but was not a junior. Used it so records would not be confused with his father.
O. D. was born in Forrest Park Georgia. Lived there about 6 years and moved to Raymond, Ga. about 1912. There his father opened a drug store and soda fountain and practiced medicine.

Sarah and Greenberry lived on the property now owned by George Mosely Fielder(1918) They both lived there until their death. They are buried a short distance from their home. (.4 miles south of Ga. Hwy 43 on Fielder Road in a wooded lot, right hand saide of the road adjoining the property of Mary F. and R.C.Fielder, now known as Adamson-Fielder Cemetery). Information from History of Clayton Co. Greenberry and his three sisters moved to Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia in 1789, four years after the death of his father. His sister Barbara died soon after coming to Georgia. Elizabeth married a _____ Cornwall and Keziah married _____ Beebe or West. Greenberry was named after Col. Nicholas Greenberry, former Deputy Governor of Maryland. In 1812, Greenberry moved to Madison, Morgan County, Georgia. He lived there until 1822 when he moved to Henry County and settled in the section which is now known as Clayton County. They are buried in the family burial place.
Adamson Family Cemetery is located in Rex, Clayton County, Georgia about .4 mile south of Georgia Highway 43 on Fielder Road.
Greenberry Adamson enlisted as a in Capt. Matthew Phillips Company of Infantry, 4th Regiment, Georgia Militia during the War of 1812. He drew land in Irwin County in the 1820 Land Lottery for his military service, while still living in Morgan County, Georgia.
