1860 John and Cyrus Lewis purchased a farm in Edgar County, Il. of 240 acres.
Sold out in 2 yrs because of an early frost the first yr and heavy rains the
2nd. Rented a farm in Parke County, Il. until 1872 when he purchased the home
farm on Sec. 17. He had 200 arces.
