Lived on little Saltehatchee River near Carter's Ford. He was a Revolutionary
soldier in South Carolina but details of his service have not been learned.
He served in the Cherokee Expidition in 1759-60 in S. C. Avout 1809 he moved
to Tattnall County, Georgia and settled on or near the Ohoopee River moved to
Appling 1820, died two years later, age 80. He was a large land owner and a
man of great affluence.
