Other members of their family ( uncles, cousins, etc.) migrated to what is now Pasquotank, Perquimans and Gates counties, North Carolina. Burwell's brother, Jeremiah, married Frances Massey who shares a common Greatgrandfather with Elizabeth Mace Perry. Quaker records clearly state that Elizabeth is daughter of Francis Mace/Massey. His father is John. I don't know when he died but the Elizabeth named as daughter in 1777 (Wake?),North Carolina will of John Massey is not the wife of our Burwell Perry. The Frances named as John's daughter could well be Frances Massey who married Jeremiah Perry in 1778. There is another Burwell Perry in Wake county who married another Elizabeth Massey and it is she who is the daughter of the aforementioned John Massey - not our Elizabeth. Also, our Elizabeth's mother is Ann Newby, wife of Francis Mace. He died 1749, she in 1752. They had a son, Francis, who moved to Franklin county with Burwell and Elizabeth and he is not named at all in the will of John Massey 1777. (Willis Perry was bondsman to the Marriage of Jeremiah and Frances Massey on 26 May 1778 in North Carolina.) Another North Carolina marriage is of Burrell Perry and Hester Bird on 11 Dec. 1789, James Baker, Bndmn. He is in Franklin co,North Carolina and Warren co, Ga. and then Rutherford & Davidson cos. Tennessee. He is related to our Burrell somehow but is not a son or brother.
