Buried in Rushing Cemetery, Walthall County, Ms., beside her husband Wiley Josephus Lee. As is the case for W. J. Lee there is a handmade concrete headstone marker. The only inscription on this headstone is "Mrs. W. J. Lee" with no dates. There is little doubt that this is the grave for Charita.
Death Certificate, Mississippi State Board of Health, 27-14740, appears to show date of death as February 29, 1927, Walthall County, Miss. The 2 in the 1927 is missing however other dates on the certificate are clearly 1927. The date of February 29 is assumed to be in error as 1927 was not a leap year. Her name is given as Nenritta Lee, age as 65 years. Place of Burial is shown as Rushing Cemetery, February 1927. Father listed as Jacob Beard (writing somewhat smudged), born in Miss., mother listed as Maggie Beard, born in Miss. Informant on death certificate is J. W. Lee (it is not known if this a reversal of Wiley Josephus Lee's initials or if the informant was James Willis (Jim) Lee.
