In the 1850 census Mary Elizabeth was listed as a 27 yr old, living with her husband William Jarrell, a 37 yr old farmer and their 5 children, John age 5, William age 4, Charles age 3, James age 2 and Dennis age 1 yr. The value of their real estate owned was listed as $300. They were living near her father John.
The name Amepoly was taken from the family Bible.

In the 1850 PEARL RIVER County, Ms. census,George was listed as a 25 yr old farmer living in the hobolochitto district with wife Sarah age 25 and their one year old son, Thomas Jefferson.
George enlisted in the Confederate Army Company "C", 38th Ms. volunteers on 2/35/1862 at Gainesville, Ms.
In the 1870 census, George was listed as a 45 yr old farmer living with wife Sarah age 45 and their 8 children and having a post office in Gainesville. Also living with George was his father and mother John P. and Louranea. Living near them at the time were his brothers Richardson, John and Samuel.
In the 1880 census George was listed as a 55 yr old farmer living in beat 2 with wife Sarah age 55 and their 4 children.

John enlisted in the Confederate Army Company "C", 38th Ms. Volunteers, November 12, 1863 at Enterprise, Ms.
In the 1870 Hancock census, John was listed as a 43 yr old farmer living with his wife Sarah age 32 and their 5 children. He lived near his brothers Goerge, Richardson and Samuel. Also staying withthem at the time was William lewis age 83.
In the 1880 census John was listed as a 54 yr old farmer living in beat 2 with his wife Sarah and their 8 children, including William age 18, Mary age 16 and Florence age 14, who are listed as working on the farm.
In the 1910 census, John was listed as a 73 yr old farmer living with his wife Sarah age 61 married 46 yrs, having 10 children with 8 living. Living with them at the time was their daughter Missouri age 20.

Orval enlisted in the Confederate Army Company "C", 38th Ms. Volunteers on 3/25/1862 at Gainesville, Ms. He appears on the casualties list of Herbert's Brigate at the seige of Vicksburg, Ms. May 17 thru July 4, 1863. He died in the trenches on July 1, 1863. He is possibly buried in Vicksburg.
Orval was probably buried in an unmarked grave under Horshoe Hill.
Richardson enlisted in the Confederate Army Company C, 38th Mississippi Volunteers on March 25, 1862 at Gainesville, Ms. He was captured at the seige of Vicksburg and held as a prisoner of war until Vicksburg fell. He was then released upon signing an oath not to take up arms against the U. S. on July 8th, 1863.
In the 1870 census of Hancock County Richardson was listed as a 35 yr old farmer living with his wife Jane Cooper age 30 and their five children, Irving age 15, Luranny age 12, Ella age 9 Nancy age 7, and Tom age 1 year. Richardson had a homestead on the McNeill to Mill creek road just east of Boley creek.

After Martha Ann died, her two boys ,Cornelius and Jimmy (by her 2nd marriage)
were raised by their Grandfather, John P. Spiers.
In the 1870 Hancock County, Ms. census, Sam was listed as a 33 yr old farmer living with his wife Sephronia age 28 and their 3 children, Emily age 10, Sarah age 6, and George age 4. He was living near his brothers George, Richard and John.
In the 1880 Hancock census Sam is listed as a 38 yr old farmer living in beat 2 with his wife Sephronia and their 6 children.
In the 1900 Pearl River County, Ms. census Sam is listed as a 64 yr old living in beat 5, Choctaw district with his second wife Margaret age 61, married 15 yrs.

He is either buried in Greenwood Cemetery on West Street in Jackson, Ms. or in an unmarked grave in Spiers Cemetery, McNeill, Ms. According to Talmage Spiers, his Grandfather, Jimmy Gill that stayed with John Sr. saying that during the Civil War he had gone to Jackson to get a sick son, possibly this was James and John had gone to get his body. James enlisted in the Confederate Army Company "C", 38th Ms. Volunteers on March 25, 1862 at Gainesville, Ms. He died in the Confederate Army hospital in Jackson, Ms. - now Veterans Hospital.

In the 1880 Hancock County census Thomas was listed as a 41 yr old farmer living in beat 43 with wife Mary Dunn age 41 and 8 children, including step son Levi Holliman.
In the 1900 census Tom was listed as a 59 yr old farmer living in beat 4 with wife Mary Dunn age 55, married 33 yrs and having 13 children with 9 living. 2 children were living at home at the time, Arvel age 20 and Joseph age 17.
Tom had a homestead of 160 acres that was on the east and west side of where the Rock Ranch road intersects with the Mill Creek road. It also encopases the Lee's Chapel Cemetery and Church, Mill Creek, Pearl River County, Ms.
