!Isabella Jackson is the grandmother of Maureen Spier. It was told that her

mother died when she was an infant, and that her father wanted to take his
three litle girls back to England to his mother. They wouldn't book him
passage on a ship with an infant unless he hired a wet nurse (someone to nurse
her.) Since he could not afford to hire someone. he adopted the baby out. I
only met my grandmother one time, when I was about thirteen years old.
