LORE CITY, O., Aug. 23 - John F. Laughman, 80, passed away Sunday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock, at his home on Lore City route 1, following a serious illness lasting two weeks. He had been ill for the past four years. Mr. Laughman had been a resident of Guernsey county his entire life and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic church, Lore City. Surviving are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Bruney and Miss Alice Laughman, Cambridge, and Mrs. Olen Thompson, of Casper, Wyo: three sons, Frank of Macksburg, and Charles and James Laughman of Lore City route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Cambridge, and Mrs. Anna McKenna, East Liverpool; and two brothers, Thomas, of Casper, Wyo., and Robert Laughman, Old Washington. Four children are deceased. Short funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock, and additional services will be held at 9 o'clock, at St. Benedict's Catholic church, Cambridge, conducted by Rev. Father Clement Crock. Burial will be made in Mt. Calvary cemetery, West pike. The Times Recorder, Zanesville, August 24, 1936
