ANKNEY, DELPHIA MAE — Remembrance of mother who passed away Jan. 4, 1936.
Sometimes I long for mother,
To talk with her awhile,
To have her pat me kindly,
And see her loving smile.
I see a picture, oh dear mother,
God gave me these sweet memories
Of her in years that's passed,
And these pictures of her are living.
It's mother!—And they shall last,
The pictures of her in my album,
Are worth more to me than gold,
But the pictures I hold in my memory
Are the dearest and never grow old,
So I'll carry dear mother's pictures,
They shall always live right in my heart.
Gone—But not forgotten.
