FROSTBURG - Hugh Speir, Sr., 85, ofCarlos, died yesterday at Pulliam Nursing Home in Keyser where he had been a patient seven months. He had been in failinghealth the past several years. Born in Midlothian, he was a son of the late Allen and Louise (Brodbeck) Speir. His wife, Isabell(Stephenson) Speir, died in July 1968. Mr. Speir was a retired Celanese Fibers Company employee. Surviving are twodaughters, Mrs. Isabell Skidmore, Midlothian; Mrs. Erma Jane Albright, Hagerstown; three sons, James Speir, Midlothian;George and Hugh Speir Jr., Carlos; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Morgan, Carlos; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Thebody is at the Durst Funeral Home.
