Mrs. Eva Cecelia Speir, 61, of 120 Winton Place, died last night at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she had been admitted July 13. Mrs. Speir, wife of Allen Speir, had been ill about a year. Born in Carlos, Mrs. Speir was a daughter of the late John F. and Margaret Whitfield Smith. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Elizabeth Delores Speir, at home; Mrs. Harry Kelso, Ridgeley; three sons, Allen J. Speir, Roberts Place; John J. Speir, city; William J. Speir, Baltimore; two brothers, George Smith, Martinsburg; John Smith, city; a sister, Mrs. John Mitchell, also of here; and eight grandchildren. The body will remain at the George Funeral Home.
