Two men were injured last night in a one-car accident on Valley Road. Taken to Memorial Hospital were Allen Joseph Speir, 47, of 37 Oakwood Avenue, Roberts Place, the driver of the car, and Kenneth W. Walker, 48, of 105 Greene Street, a passenger in the vehicle. Mr. Walker sustained lacerations of the face and legs and a fractured left elbow. He was admitted to the hospital and was isted in "fair" condition. Mr. Speir received an injury to his right arm and chest injuries, but it was not known if he was going to be admitted to the hospital. Tfc. J. W. McFarland said the accident occurred about 8:45 p. m. when the Speir vehicle struck a small bridge. The accident happened near the road eading to the Bowman's Addition Fire Hall.
