Harry Franklin Kelso Sr., 58, of 55 Knobley Street, Ridgeley, died suddenly yesterday at University Hospital, Morgantown, after being transferred from Sacred Heart. Born August 1,1914, in Ridgeley, he was the son of the late Alexander and Mary D. (Meagher) Kelso. He was employed at the Celanese Corporation of America for 37 years and also was employed by the Mineral County School System. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, the Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department and the Textile Workers of America Local 1874. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret (Speir)-Kelso; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Wright, Ridgeley; a son, Harry F. Kelso, Jr., at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Thompson, Cresaptown; Mrs. Ruth Eckard, Cumberland; and Mrs. John Brehaney, Carpenter's Addition, Ridgeley. The body is at the George Funeral Home where friends vill be received today from 7 to 9 p.m., and tomorrow from 2to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Cumberland News, January 9, 1970
He was buried on 11 Jan 1970 in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. A service for Harry F. Kelso, Sr., 55, of 55 Knobley Street, Ridgeley, who died Thursday, will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the George Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald R. Winterberg will officiate, and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sylvester Martin, Charles Clites, Robert Lindsay, Woodrow Graham, Robert Whitacre, and George Hartman.
