John S. Storer, about 45, who was formerly in business with his brother in Storer Brothers, Inc., a confectionary located on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Second Street, died Monday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Storer had been associated with his brother, Galen E. Storer, at the present location for about 15 years before moving to Florida in May 1955. He was a son of the late Ernest T. and Grace W. (Spier) Storer. He was a lifelong resident of the city and served in the Navy during World War II. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dorothy (Trost) Storer, his step mother, Mrs. Grace H. Hughes; three other brothers, James C. Storer, this city; William Storer, Narrows, Va.; Robert Storer with the Maryland State Police at Brunswick; and a step-sister, Mrs. Ruth Crosser, Clarksburg. Services and interment will be held in Fort Lauderdale. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 23, 1957
