Title: 1932 St Louis City Directory

Moved to St. Louis from Labadie with his mother about 1888.

He started on the Wabash railroad selling peanuts which established his nickname for the rest of his life. He worked his way up to Yardmaster and was well over 65 when he retired. He enjoyed a little drink on his way from and to home from work and often had a bottle hid away from his very religious wife at home. He was sometimes loud and what you might expect as a railroad man always checking his pocket watch, etc. and was not religious.

He was a small, thin man and semi bald. He started working for the railroad when he was 14. Was this when he moved to St Louis?

In 2000, we took pictures of both places on Nottingham both still in good shape.
He moved to second place because two stories were hard to navigate and bathroom was upstairs.
