He died on 7 Apr 1966 in Orlando, Orange Co., Florida. William J. Hausman, 77, a former resident, died Thursday in Orlando, Fla. Born in Lonaconing, he was a son of the late William R. and Mary A. (Wilson) Hausman. His wife, Mrs. Delia (Barncord) Hausman, preceded him in death. Mr. Hausman had worked 35 years as a general foreman at the Western Maryland Railway shops at Dunbar, Pa., before retiring in 1955. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Orlando Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John E. Davis, Peoria, 111.; two sisters, the Misses Sarah and Emma Hausman, both of this city, and two grandchildren. Services were conducted yesterday in the Guy Black Funeral

The railroad also announced the retirement of William J. Hausman, as general foreman at Bowest. Hausman started with the Western Maryland as a machinist's apprentice at Maryland Junction in Ridgeley in 1909, being made a machinist in 1914. In 1920 he was appointed general manager of Bowest and in 1935 to the same position at Elkins. From 1936 to 1938 he was general erecting shop foreman at Hagerstown.
