Mae Virginia TUCKER died on 24 Aug 1960 in Oakland, Garrett Co., Maryland. A local woman was killed and six other persons hospitalized following a two-car accident yesterday afternoon at Red House in nearby Garrett County. Victim of the collision was Mrs. Mae Virginia Hausman, 66, of 24 North Waverly Terrace. The accident occurred around 1 p. m. yesterday, and Mrs. Hausman died in Garrett County Memorial Hospital at Oakland at 4 a: m. today as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. She reportedly sustained a fractured skull. Maryland State Police who investigated said the accident occurred at-the intersection of U. S. Route 50 and Route 219 at Red House. Police said Wilford D. Manges, 57, of 633 Leiper Street was driving'south on Route 219 and apparently failed to stop at a stop light and collided with the Hon acker car. The Virginia vehicle was westbound on Route 50 . Mrs. Hausman was a native of Keyser, and a daughter of the late Mason S. find Rachael V. (McNeman) Tucker. Survivors include her husband, Walter Hausman, and a sister, Effie M. Kline, who was also involved in the accident. Her body is at the Hafer Funeral Home. The Cumberland Evening Times, August 24,1960
