Mrs. Elizabeth Speir, 77, a native of Scotland who had lived here for 30 years, died Saturday night at 9:15 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. E. Eichenberger, 928 West Rollins street. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the First Baptist Church by the pastor. Dr. E. V. Lamb, and the Rev. Allen Duncan, pastor of the Coates Street Presbyterian Church. Burial was at Oakland cemetery. Mrs. Speir was born June 9, 1855, in Dairy, Scotland, and came to Moberly 30 years ago. She is survived by one son, A. D. Speir, of Omaha, Neb., three daughters, Mrs. Eichenberger, Mrs. V. H. Conard, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Agnes Gorton, Moberly; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her husband, J. D. Speir, Wabash machinist, died 16 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Cuhrch. May 29, 1933, Moberly Monitor-Index, Moberly, Missouri
