Richard E, Eichenberger, 83, Dallas, Tex., formerly of Moberly, died Thursday in a Dallas hospital. He had been ill for two years. Born Sept. 6, 1887, in Macon, he lived most of his life in the Moberly area and was married to Elizabeth Speir on Sept. 2, 1914, who survives him. He was a retired U. S. Post Office employe and a member of the Coates Street Presbyterian Church since 1902. He was also a past elder of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Eichenberger moved to a Dallas nursing home in August, 1970, because of failing health. Mrs. Eichenberger resides there. Surviving are the wife; one son, Richard A. Eiehenberger, Dallas; two grandsons, Dale and David Eichenberger, Dallas; one niece, Mrs. Roy Madden, Moberly; and several cousins. The body is at the Million, Greer and Comstock Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, with the Rev. Robert Muncy officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
