December 05, 2006, Cumberland Times-News ~ CUMBERLAND - Mildred Jean (Izat) Smith, 81, formerly of Mechanic Street, Frostburg, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Cumberland Nursing Home, Winifred Road, Cumberland. Born May 24, 1925 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. Izat and Marian (Cuthbertson) Izat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Benjamin Smith and a son, Joseph Smith; two daughters, Delores Smith and Barbara Ketterman; one grandson, Larry Ketterman. She was of Presbyterian Faith and worked for the Celanese Fibers Corp. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Smith, Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren, Tiffany Ketterman, David, Amber, Nathan, and Joseph; three great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Robert Mundeno and wife Althea, LaVale. Family and friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. (eichhorn-mckenziefh.com ), Midland, MD on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
